About Me:	I started the company in 2005 because of an interest in area rugs. I have learned more than I would have guessed about rugs, but more importantly about myself and the 3rd world. I travel to Asia I started the company in 2005 because of an interest in area rugs. I have learned more than I would have guessed about rugs, but more importantly about myself and the 3rd world. I travel to Asia often to select new pieces for our showroom. With each trip I encounter more amazing people trying to make a living in this ever increasing and competitive global economy. I have personally witnessed what 3rd world truly means and it has given me the resolve to do something to help bring an end to absolute poverty. Education is the key; with a proper education, children have the opportunity to grow their own potential. Too many good people who lack the basic ability to read live and die under the sky each day. Rugs of Kaibab has taken the initiative to help make schools for children in these impoverished nations a reality. I have seen first hand the impact a company like Rugs of Kaibab has on the locals’ livelihoods, and as a company, we get to contribute to a better future.
